Monique van Dusseldorp, Founder and CEO

Monique van Dusseldorp (1965) is the founder and CEO of Van Dusseldorp, an Amsterdam based research company focussed on European internet developments. Van Dusseldorp provides research and analysis, pan-European data gathering, access to new media networks, as well as project management.

Van Dusseldorp previously worked at the European Institute for the Media in Dusseldorf, Germany, which she joined in 1992 in Manchester. She later became the institute's Director of Communications and a member of the management team. From 1997 to 1998 she worked as a media analyst for Dutch publishing and media house Wegener Arcade.

Van Dusseldorp holds a number of other positions - she is on the board of a number of organisations, she has contributed to some of the temporary advisory committees on policy related issues, and she is a member of several juries - click here for a complete list.

Monique van Dusseldorp is also a valuable contributor to many conferences, meetings and events. The Online Journalism Review listed Van Dusseldorp among the "50 international names to know on the Internet".

Van Dusseldorp holds a degree in Fine Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts (Tilburg) where she graduated cum laude with lithographs and drawings in 1989. She also holds a degree in the Theory and History of Literature of the Katholieke Universiteit Brabant (cum laude, 1993), followed a graduate programme in History and Literature at Boston University (1990), and completed a programme in International Law and International Relations (Tilburg, 1992).
