TV meets the Web
The Television meets the Web consists of a series of seminars aimed at broadcasters, regulators, Internet developers, infrastructure providers, hardware producers and consumer organisations. The seminars focus on the challenges the broadcasting industry has to face in adapting to an interactive world, and the possibilities interactive broadcasting offer to internet ventures.The first annual plenary TV meets the Web seminar has taken place in May 1999, the second one has been scheduled for May 2000. In addition, a number of thematic seminars are on the agenda.
The Television meets the Web Network is targeted at broadcasting and Internet companies, and related organisations. The Network supports information exchange and research projects on European Interactive Television related subjects.
